Kelita was the first child born to the king and queen of Hanalan, and was put into lessons as soon as she was old enough to understand them. For some reason she never took much of an interest in said lessons, much preferring to sneak out of them and go riding or visit with peasants in nearby villages. She often got in trouble for doing these things, but never seemed to learn her lesson and instead continued to sneak out of the castle on her own as the years went by.

After her brother, Finlay, was old enough to, he often ended up leading Kelita into trouble worse than what she would have gotten into on her own. She never much minded, rather enjoying what they did despite how it upsetted their parents. She and Finlay grew close over their years together.

Of recently, Kelita has been getting clumsier and clumsier as maturity changes her body in ways she's not used to. Her father, having finally tired of both her clumsiness and her free-wheeling nature, recently sent her on a pilgrimage to Megam with Daisy, Nathan, and a stowaway who turned out to be none other than Finlay.

Kelita is very interested in the simpler things of life; nature, blue skies, long horseback rides with the wind in her hair. She's very kind, albeit a bit naive and gullible. Despite the fact that her father resents much of her behavior, she's still very determined to make him proud of her as a daughter. She's also very fond of Finlay and determined to try to protect him despite the fact that she can currently do little more than heal.

She loves to be able to just run away from her responsibilities and have fun, or just going off to daydream under the clouds. Besides that, she loves flowers and secretly dreams of having her own flower garden in the castle courtyard in Hanalan. She also takes great pride in her horse, Lorelei, despite the fact that her riding skills aren't as good as they should be since she's been sneaking out of lessons and riding since she was about 6.

Kelita is very thin and lithe, not well-muscled at all, with long red hair that she often ties in a braid to keep it out of her way. She also often wears flowers in her hair. Her eyes are the same color as her hair, and she wears the flowing gowns and robes fitting of any other princess.
